Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): On Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath officially opened the rooftop solar boat service at Sarayu Ghat in Ayodhya. The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) is the organization behind this initiative.

An official statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) states that "This initiative is a game-changer as it initiates the nation's first-ever electric solar technology-based service for inland waterways."

This time, CM Yogi not only looked over the operational technicalities of the boat but also learned about the initiatives being taken in Ayodhya to enhance inland waterways.

Pressing a button, he started the boat and rode the Saryu River, checking out the floating jetty and floating boat charging station along the riverside.

CM Yogi cut the ribbon and pushed the boat's navigation button to start the solar boat's functioning at Sarayu Ghat in Ayodhya.

He saw devotees and learned about the amenities being constructed in line with the inland canal while navigating the boat on the Sarayu River and taking a boat ride at numerous ghats during this occasion.

During the boat voyage, the Chief Minister greeted the large group of worshippers at the ghats and received details on many elements of the boat's functioning.

At this occasion, the Ganga-6 and the working e-boat charging station—which doubles as a floating jetty—were examined and data was collected.

Remarkably, this floating jetty can accommodate up to 20 boats for berthing and has been stationed in Ayodhya since December 15.

On the floating jetty, there are now electric power charging plugs that enable e-boats to navigate the Sarayu River by charging and berthing.

CM Yogi gave 127 sailors life jackets. In keeping with the Ram Bhoomi Swachh Bhoomi initiative, Chief Minister Yogi also opened the counter for the plastic deposit refund center.

Amit Singh Chauhan, Ramchandra Yadav, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi, Cabinet Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, and other public figures attended the event.

UPEIDA claims that portions of the boat and other materials were imported from different regions of the nation and that it was built on the banks of the Sarayu Ghat.

Constructed under the 'Make in India' concept, this boat is entirely indigenous. As of right now, one boat has been finished building, and preparations are being made for its regular operation in the near future.
